How The Auction Proceeds?

With the limitations of the entire squad and the barrier of the foreign players, only 76 of them will be the chosen one’s to show their skills this season. The bids start at the basic price, and the team who bids highest for a particular player gets them. If there is no bid for a player, he goes back in the pool with his base price to be half for next round.
The lists of players with highest base prices are Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews, England players Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes, Eoin Morgan, Australian pace generators Mitchell Johnson and Pat Cummins. Only one Indian was able to make his place in the list, and that is Ishant Sharma. All of these players have the base price of Rs. 2 crores.
